Congratulations to all Monnow Swimmers who took part in the South East Wales Sub Regional Competition from 22nd – 24th November 2019 at the Newport International Sports Village. 20 of our swimmers took part with Sam Strutt-Izzard and Megan Townson both competing for the first time. There were numerous personal best times and some impressive first swims. Well done to Eleanor Wood and Rhys Townson for competing in the 400m free for the first time (Rhys enjoyed this event so much he decided to swim 2 more lengths!). Of the personal bests the most impressive I saw were from Saffi Jarvis (23 seconds off her 200m Free time) and Matthew Lynch-Warden (15 seconds of his 100m Back time).
