A team of enthusiastic Monnow swimmers took part in a friendly gala against Cwmbran, Caldicot, Abertillery, Chepstow and Rhondda on Saturday 22 March. Against some very strong and large clubs, our 17 swimmers did a brilliant job, many having to swim up age groups to fill in the gaps and swimming in a high number of races. All swimmers worked really hard and were rewarded with some excellent personal best times. It was a real achievement for Monnow to finish 4th out of the six teams.
A huge thank you to all who took part – your attitude and conduct throughout the evening was exemplary and a real credit to the club. Thank you also to the parents who came along to support.
