Saturday 8th October saw the first friendly Gala between Brecon Swimming club and Monnow. A large proportion of the club turned out to represent Monnow in age groups from 8 to 15 and over. The Monnow swimmers had a spectacular day, winning the vast majority of the races and brought home a trophy to commemorate the event. This was a wonderful opportunity for all swimmers old and new to the club to experience the atmosphere of a Gala. Two senior members of the team received a trophy on behalf of the club. We look forward to hosting Brecon in Monmouth next year.
