Monnow swimmers turned out in force at the annual Dave Hughes Memorial Aquathon organised by the Monmouth Triathlon club.
The event requires competitors to swim and then run, the younger entrants starting with a 50 metre swim and 1.2 Km run all the way up to the older participants swimming 400 metres and running 5 Km.
Monnow entrants were aged from 8 up to the veterans category, and they performed brilliantly.

The 14 year old boys and 9 year old girls had a clean sweep of the medals, and in the other categories Monnow won many medals. There were some stunning individual performances, all cheered on by the team and their parents.
